Evans Enterprises Inc. is in the process of expanding its Wichita Falls facility, manager Bob Siegert said.
He said the project is a 5,000 square-foot expansion and that the addition will be used for new inventory and work in progress storage.
"It (addition) will open our east bay for expansion on our production floor," Siegert said.
He also explained that a 10-ton crane will be added at some point, along with a new bake oven and new dip tank. The company also said the bay will become its new winding area, allowing for the expansion of its inspection, assembly and testing area.
Siegert said construction began about a month ago and it is expected to be completed in the next two to three months. Double J Welding is the contractor.
He said the plant has 16 employees and basically is an electric motor repair facility. "We repair electric motors from one-third horsepower up to 1,500 horsepower ...and we can do larger. We have done a 5,000 horsepower motor," he said.
The facility is located at 2707 Central Freeway East.
